Job summary

Intermountain Electronics in Colorado seeks an Electrical Engineer II for the day shift to join our design team. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and focuses on power distribution design, drafting, and project support.

You will read electrical drawings, create designs with AutoCad Electric, program PLCs/HMI, update P&ID drawings, and collaborate with engineers, designers and manufacturing to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology with 5–10 years of electrical design experience.
• Experience in Power Distribution (Power and Control), switchgear, PDU, transformers, and manufacturing is preferred.
• Professional Engineer or Engineering In Training certification.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics; update electrical power and control design documents.
• Create electrical designs using AutoCad Electric; perform electrical calculations as needed.
• Program PLCs/HMI and update P&ID drawings with limited guidance; collaborate with team.
