Job summary

Intermountain Electronics (IE) is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join our Day Shift team in Colorado. You will design power distribution and control systems, read electrical drawings, program PLCs/HMIs, and collaborate with engineers and drafters.

A strong background in NEC/IEEE standards and manufacturing environments is preferred. The role offers a competitive salary, PTO, holidays, health plans, 401K matching, and a path to leadership within a supportive team at IE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology with relevant experience.
• 5–10 years of electrical design experience for power distribution systems preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and P&ID documents.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Create and update electrical design drawings using AutoCad Electric.
• Program PLCs and HMIs and design PID loop configurations with guidance.
• Lead or assist a team of engineers, designers and drafters in project work.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE and safety standards.
