Job summary

Intermountain Electronics, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer I to join our Price, Utah team on-site. You will work under supervision of senior engineers to create and document electrical designs using AutoCAD Electric and related tools, supporting power and control systems for industrial projects.

The role offers a dayshift schedule, 40-hour week, opportunities to learn with senior engineers, and a collaborative environment within a family-like team that values safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Associate’s in Electrical Technology with 5–8 years experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electric and office software.
• Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and BOM research in ERP systems.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEEE standards and safety practices.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and document electrical designs from project information.
• Update and develop electrical power and control design documents from specifications.
• Perform load calculations and assist with design challenges.
• Update instrumentation and control portions of P&ID drawings with guidance.
• Program PLCs and HMIs; configure PID loop designs with senior engineer support.
• Research BOMs in Epicor and manage project schedules with assistance.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and drafters to improve quality and efficiency.
