Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience working with electrical systems for mobile equipment.
• Hands-on experience with SAE J1939 CAN systems and wiring harness design.
• Experience supporting equipment in shop, test-site, and field environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system architecture, including power distribution, control networks, protection strategies, and interface definitions.
• Design and validate electrical and electronic systems for harsh environments involving shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, moisture, dust, corrosion, and electrical noise.
• Develop and integrate SAE J1939 CAN-based control systems, including network nodes, communication messages, fault handling, and service diagnostics.
• Design wiring harnesses, including routing, connector selection, manufacturability, serviceability, and durability.
• Support vehicle telematics, connectivity solutions, environmental testing, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical support to production teams, field service personnel, and product engineering, including commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, sales, contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to improve product reliability and performance.
• Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects, participate in design reviews, document technical decisions, and mitigate project risks.
