Job summary

dfwHR's client in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a direct-hire, in-office role. The engineer will design, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems used in industrial vehicles and mobile equipment.

You will support electrical system integration, wiring harnesses, CAN bus communications, and engine interfaces, collaborating with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional Electrical Engineering experience.
• Proficiency with CAD, simulation, and circuit-design tools.
• Strong understanding of engines, power electronics, wiring harness design, and vehicle networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical/electronic systems for industrial vehicles.
• Support electrical system integration and CAN bus communications.
• Create and maintain schematics, BOMs, and engineering change notices.
• Perform testing and validation during prototype development and production.
• Collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams.
