Interstates is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to lead constructible, detailed design on diverse projects. You will coordinate with engineering disciplines, vendors, and field teams from site visits to final design handoffs.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 2–4 years of experience, and FE exam eligibility or EIT certification. Travel and NEC proficiency are expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and practical experience.
• Eligible to complete the FE exam or have EIT certification before graduation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical terminology, NEC, and drafting software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed designs independently using industry standards and prior project learnings.
• Leads design efforts across design-build, plan-and-spec, and design-assist projects.
• Coordinates with design disciplines, vendors, and construction teams to ensure alignment.
• Performs site trips and processes information after returning to inform designs.
• Delegates tasks clearly and contributes to estimates and conceptual design.
