Job summary

Safran is seeking an Electrical Engineer at level 2 or 3 to design and document electrical systems for aerospace test cells, including wiring diagrams and control systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers and requires up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.

The position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Over 3 years of related industry experience.
• CE and ATEX regulatory experience preferred.
• Design of electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent in data acquisition and control systems; power distribution; wiring harnesses; building electrical ducting.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical design projects with minimal guidance and supervision.
• Design electrical systems including wiring harnesses, control systems, and data acquisition.
• Create detailed wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Facilitate design reviews with internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical and Software engineers in cross-functional teams.
• Develop designs compliant with industry standards and Safran Test Cells standards.
• Provide progress updates to management and customers.
• Work with a team of engineers, drafters, and designers to deliver project deliverables.
• Interpret inputs from customer specs, drawings, OEM docs.
• Adhere to Safran Engineering Design Process and Quality Maintenance System.
• Pursue knowledge through Safran training opportunities.
• Support existing customers with troubleshooting on work packages.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in methods and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
