Job summary

Htprof is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Wisconsin to document and standardize existing heating and refrigeration products from an electrical perspective, while developing new revisions and revisions to legacy designs.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to integrate electronics into robust, manufacturable products. This role emphasizes lifecycle support, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and document electrical systems for heating/refrigeration equipment.
• Document existing products and standardize custom designs into models.
• Support product development lifecycle from concept through production and improvement.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to integrate electromechanical designs.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance (UL/NSF/DOE) for products.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for commercial equipment that heats/refrigerates.
• Document electrical systems of existing products and standardize for models.
• Support lifecycle from concept to production and continuous improvement.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and docs using SolidWorks/AutoCAD/PDM.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to create robust, manufacturable designs.
• Lead product validation, testing, reliability, and root-cause analysis.
• Work with Manufacturing to troubleshoot, pilot builds, and improve assemblies.
• Partner with Supply Chain to evaluate components and cost-reduction options.
• Ensure compliance with UL, NSF, CSA, ETL, and DOE standards.
• Provide technical support to Quality, Tech Service, Sales, and other teams.
