Job summary

Ilocatum seeks an Electrical Engineer to document and standardize heating and refrigeration products from an electrical perspective, and to develop new products and revisions to legacy lines. You will report to the Engineering Manager in a growing division of a larger organization.

Design, analyze, and test electrical systems, collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, and support manufacturing from concept through production, with travel to suppliers and partners as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience designing electrical systems for products (not production equipment).
• Experience with complete product development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with production support and continuous improvement.
• Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, validation, and failure analysis.
• Experience with regulatory certification agencies and applicable safety standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for commercial equipment that heats and/or refrigerates.
• Document electrical systems of existing products and standardize into models, and design new products.
• Support products through the development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering docs using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to integrate electrical and mechanical designs.
• Lead and support product validation, performance testing, reliability testing, and root cause analysis.
• Work with Manufacturing to troubleshoot production issues and implement design improvements.
• Partner with Supply Chain and suppliers to evaluate components and support cost reduction.
• Ensure products comply with UL, NSF, CSA, ETL, and DOE standards.
• Provide technical support to Quality, Tech Service, Sales, and other teams.
