Job summary

RTM Engineering Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design and prepare construction electrical documents for multiple projects. The role supports the full construction process with careful attention to project scope, hours, and parameters.

The candidate will perform load calculations, evaluate design options, and select suitable equipment while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain quality, schedule and costs.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produces construction electrical documents for permitting based on project specifics.
• Produces electrical design elements consistent with project specifications.
• Ensures design elements meet project hours, scope and parameters.
• Produces load calculations within project parameters.
• Researches design options that meet project requirements.
• Selects equipment appropriate for project type.
• Participates in post-design activities through construction completion.
• Assists in preparing other project documents with professionalism.
• Collaborates with team to improve processes and reduce costs.
