Job summary

Plummer Associates, Inc. seeks a Project Electrical Engineer to support Electrical and I&C design on multiple projects. You will perform load, short circuit, arc flash calculations and develop drawings, specs, and reports with CAD staff.

Opportunities for growth and mentorship are provided. Ideal candidates have 4+ years with a bachelor’s or 3+ years with a master’s, or 2+ years with a PhD/advanced degree, plus PE license or readiness to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Experience with calculations and contract documents for power, lighting, grounding, instrumentation, P&IDs, and SCADA.
Intermediate understanding of engineering fundamentals.
Ability to plan, solve problems, and work independently.

Responsibilities

Serve as Project Engineer on multiple design projects with significant autonomy.
Generate calculations: load, short circuit, arc flash, conduit sizing, voltage drop, lighting.
Prepare drawings, specs, cost estimates, and technical reports with CAD support.
Conduct field site visits and prepare detailed reports.
Mentor interns and entry-level engineers.
