Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Sterling, VA is seeking an Electrical Engineering II to join our Simulation and Training Solutions group to design, analyze, integrate, and test electrical hardware for flight and ground training simulators. You will manage schematics, power budgets, and cabling documentation.

This onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; travel up to 15% and close collaboration with Mechanical, Software and Systems teams are expected.

Qualifications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document moderately complex electrical hardware.
• Contribute to hardware engineering requirements: capture, analysis and creation for medium complexity components of electrical designs.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Software and Systems Engineering to ensure electrical design suitability.
• Participate in cross-functional team efforts in integration and test of completed designs and subsystems.
• Use independent judgment to make day-to-day decisions and report status for assigned scope.
