Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join the Avionics Network Hardware team within the Displays, Controls, Computing & Networking Directorate. You will design circuit boards for new products and support existing hardware through recertification and cost-reduction efforts.

The role emphasizes high-bandwidth, mission-critical networking for avionics and airline information systems, with opportunities to work on ARINC interfaces and high-speed computing

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus; relevant Electrical Engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design circuit/board layout to support product lifecycle.
• Support product recertification (TSO or PMA) driven by changes.
• Extract cost savings to reduce standard product cost.
• Assist production to meet on-time delivery goals.
• Resolve product issues and inquiries from OEM customers.
• Troubleshoot equipment from field or OEM lines.
• Evaluate part changes (obsolescence, end of life).
