Karman Space & Defense is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design and analyze analog and digital circuits powering space and defense products. You will generate schematics, PCB layouts, and harness designs, and work with manufacturing to ensure robust, testable hardware.

You will collaborate across mechanical and electromechanical teams, contribute to test plans, and help ensure manufacturability and reliability throughout the lifecycle of mission-critical hardware.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Typically 2–5 years of aerospace/defense experience.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools.
• Experience with surface mount and through-hole soldering.
• Experience with harness building.
• Familiar with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies.
• Proficient in C, C++, Python; Verilog/VHDL preferred.
• Knowledge of serial protocols RS-422/RS-485, SPI, I2C.

Responsabilidades

• Designs and develops analog and digital circuits that meet customer requirements and standards.
• Creates electrical engineering documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, harness designs, and BOMs.
• Reviews electrical designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality considerations.
• Supports test and analysis activities throughout the development lifecycle, drafting test procedures and reports.
• Performs de-rating and reliability analyses to ensure design robustness.
• Identifies components and alternates to mitigate obsolescence or long lead times.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to advance procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities.
