With hundreds of engineers in-house, the company designs, manufactures, integrates, and installs a full spectrum of intralogistics solutions to meet client needs. These include leading-edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment equipment, a suite of warehouse controls & execution software, robotics, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), mezzanines, and structures, all backed by critical round-the-clock service and support.

Department Summary
The Controls Team focuses on designing and modeling a diverse range of dynamic mechatronic systems, including device integration and programming for controlling equipment and interfacing with material delivery and sortation systems. They work with electrical design and project teams to document systems, standardize electrical components, and ensure consistency across projects. Control systems are designed and drafted using AutoCAD Electrical, including device layout drawings, control schematics, panel layouts, and network and installation details.

Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer II collaborates with the project team to document systems and design control systems for material handling solutions using AutoCAD Electrical. This involves creating device layout drawings, control schematics, panel layouts, and installation details.

  • Design schematic drawing sets based on project requirements in collaboration with project leads
  • Design system layouts, network layouts, and installation details
  • Prepare schematics and panel layouts for control panel fabrication
  • Create bills of material for panels
  • Coordinate ordering of field materials and panels
  • Assemble drawing sets for electrician bids, stamping, and field installation
  • Identify and implement automation tools to improve departmental efficiency
  • Update drawings to as-built status after project completion
  • Participate actively in team objectives
  • Travel up to 20%, primarily within the Continental United States
  • Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years designing industrial controls in a CAD environment, knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley controls, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical 2013+, and familiarity with electrical standards such as NFPA 70 and NFPA 79. Strong communication, detail orientation, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving skills, and self-motivation are essential. Ability to work non-traditional hours is also required.
