Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is a leading provider of intelligent material handling systems, designing, manufacturing, and installing a wide range of intralogistics solutions including conveyor systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment equipment, warehouse control software, robotics, AS/RS, mezzanines, and structures. The Controls Team focuses on designing and modeling dynamic mechatronic systems, integrating and programming control devices, and ensuring electrical standardization across projects. The team uses AutoCAD Electrical to create device layouts, control schematics, panel layouts, and network details.

The Electrical Engineer II collaborates with project teams to document systems, design control systems, and prepare detailed drawings including device layouts, control schematics, and installation details.

Responsibilities

• Design schematic drawing sets based on project requirements
• Develop system layouts, network layouts, and installation details
• Prepare schematics and panel layouts for control panel fabrication
• Create bills of material for panels
• Coordinate ordering of field materials and panels
• Assemble drawing sets for bids, stamping, and installation
• Implement automation tools to improve department efficiency
• Update drawings to 'as-built' status upon project completion
• Participate actively in team objectives
• Travel up to 20%, primarily within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience designing industrial controls in a CAD environment
• Knowledge of controls and controllers such as Rockwell/Allen-Bradley
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical 2013+ or similar software
• Understanding of electrical controls terminology and standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 79)
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and creative problem-solver
• Self-motivated with flexibility for non-traditional hours
