Job summary

The position requires U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and adherence to DoD engineering standards. Federal pay with locality applies; two-page resume required per AFNWC guidance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in systems or facilities engineering for electrical power systems design.
• PE registration desired but not required.
• Knowledge of DoD electrical standards is preferred.
• Experience coordinating with DoD levels is preferred.
• Willingness for periodic TDY to locations like Vandenberg SFB/Hill AFB.

Responsibilities

• Serve as electrical engineering consultant on design aspects of assigned projects.
• Reviews technical requirements and adequacy of design criteria including electrical power, lighting, and distribution.
• Coordinates with System Program Offices, Depot Field Teams, MAJCOM and installation leadership.
• Authors and edits official Air Force technical data for ICBM electrical and facility infrastructure.
• Responsible for configuration control and parts/equipment research for upgrades.
• Maintains infrastructure drawings and data base and manages library.
• Contributes to infrastructure policy and guidance development.
