Position Descriptions: These General Engineering positions serve as critical project engineers in support of the Materiel Leader/Branch Chief. These positions are highly visible roles responsible for the comprehensive technical management, execution, and analysis of the program technical baseline. The ideal candidate will ensure that technical requirements meet operational capabilities and the PAE's overarching mission. Five positions available: NCN Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASNTi2b2), NCW Modeling, Analysis, Configuration Management (MAC), NCS Force Element Terminal (FET), IMT Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Possess the knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the duties and responsibilities cited above.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts in written and oral presentations
  • Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to general engineering activities.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface).
  • Familiarity with RF communications preferred
  • Experience with the USAF nuclear enterprise, to include NC3 and AFGSC preferred
  • 2-7+ yrs Engineering, technical management, program support preferred
  • Experience applying engineering principles, concepts, standards, and methods to extend or modify existing or evolving approaches to technologies that support operations and working with engineering team members, resolve unique or novel problems, conditions, or issues; or significantly alter standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and known techniques Key Program Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Management: Oversee program engineering and technical activities
  • Digital Engineering/Acq: Execute programs utilizing digital engineering/acq
  • Acquisition Planning: Shape multi-year acquisition strategies and contracts at the program level.
  • Mission Alignment: Align program execution with PAE strategic objectives
  • Process Improvement: Enhance contracts, systems, and internal processes.

  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Engineering and Technical Management “Practitioner” certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, with Top Secret preferred
  • Employee will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
  • Employee may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.
