Job summary

CesiumAstro in Denver, CO is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to translate requirements into robust hardware designs and own board-level development from design through production.

You will work on PCB-level implementation, contribute to subsystem definition and integration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives while growing your technical skills in hardware, FPGA, and test.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • University or internship experience in electronics hardware development.
  • Proficiency in electronics design (EDA) tools such as Altium and experience with PCB layout.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
  • Experience creating and editing block diagrams to represent system or board functionality.
  • Ability to conduct trade studies on part selection or technical direction taking input from others.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills to work with broader cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent electrical engineering fundamentals with an understanding of how to apply them to novel tasks.
  • Willingness to take on challenges and dig into difficult problems and stick with them until they are solved
