Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join the spacecraft team. You will perform PCB-level implementation, translating spacecraft requirements into robust hardware designs while owning board-level development from design through production and contributing to subsystem definition, integration, and troubleshooting across the full spacecraft lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work with engineers across hardware, software, FPGAs, and thermal disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in electronics hardware development.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools such as Altium.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators).
  • Experience creating and editing block diagrams to represent system or board functionality.
  • Ability to conduct trade studies on part selection or technical direction.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills to work with broader cross-functional teams.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to novel tasks.
