Job summary

Raycap, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer I focused on production support to aid the manufacture of switchgear and power distribution equipment.

Embedded with the test team, you will lead electrical testing and verification, resolve production floor issues, and help ensure builds meet drawings and UL standards. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and hands-on testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
• Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting in manufacturing settings preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical test activities for switchgear and switchboard lineups (dielectric, insulation, continuity, functional tests).
• Develop and improve test procedures, data sheets, and reports with traceable results.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to support testing and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot failures on test; identify root causes and drive corrective actions with teams.
• Provide engineering support on drawings, wire sizing, routing, and workmanship standards.
• Support UL and safety compliance on the production floor and through field inspections.
