Job summary

The Charlotte office of Zachry Group is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support power, energy, and industrial projects. You will work under guidance of Lead and Senior Engineers, assisting with electrical design, calculations, technical documentation, and engineering coordination across project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0–2 years of electrical engineering experience (internships allowed).
• Basic knowledge of NEC and electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel and support field activities.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design and engineering activities for power and industrial projects.
• Assist with electrical calculations, equipment sizing, and power distribution design.
• Develop and maintain engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Support equipment selection, material takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals.
• Participate in design reviews and client meetings.
• Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning activities.
