Job summary

Nidec is seeking a qualified engineer to design generators, motors, and associated control systems for commercial, industrial, and military applications. The role is based on-site in Mankato, MN, with a starting salary range and bi-weekly pay schedule.

Under the supervision of senior engineers, you will assist with test method development, documentation, and training to understand operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motors, drives, PLCs, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical power fundamentals and strong analytical, organizational, and oral communication skills.
• U.S. citizen required for North Mankato facility.

Responsibilities

• Design generators, motors, and/or control/protective systems for commercial, industrial, and/or military applications.
• Assist with design and development of test methods, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain/create documentation to support testing areas, procedures and equipment.
• Train with senior engineers to develop skills in operation and troubleshooting of motors, drives, PLCs, and test/validation equipment.
• Review critical components per industry standards and customer requirements.
