Job summary

ESPEC North America Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer I in Hudsonville, MI to design and develop electrical systems for environmental test chambers. The role supports the Engineering Department, uses AutoCAD Electrical for schematics, and follows ISO standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships, is required.
• Must be able to perform basic electrical engineering calculations (voltage, current, heater, and transformer calculations).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and email is required.
• Previous experience with AutoCAD Electrical is required.

Responsibilities

• Modifies existing schematic and panel layout designs.
• Designs and releases electrical assemblies and associated drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Follows engineering group procedures and ISO standards.
• Learns to calculate chamber FLA using the FLA calculation tool.
