Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on hydro plant projects in California on a 12+ month contract-to-hire basis. The role involves leading design tasks, performing complex analyses, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of hydro or fossil power experience; a PE license is preferred and familiarity with NFPA 70 and California Electrical Code.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in hydro or fossil power generation plant design.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables for hydro plant projects.
• Provide technical guidance and review work for design teams.
• Analyze power systems using SKM or ETAP.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and quality for assignments.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams on moderately complex projects.
