Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer to join our established manufacturing team in Illinois. You will design, test, install, and troubleshoot high‑voltage electrical systems to ensure efficient production.

With a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years in a manufacturing setting, you’ll work with CAD, estimate costs, and collaborate with project managers to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in manufacturing.
• Proven experience with electronic troubleshooting and electrical system design.
• Proficiency with high voltage systems, estimating costs, design, and installation.
• In-depth knowledge of transformers, switchgear, breakers, and relays.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; CAD drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Apply knowledge of electricity and materials in the design process.
• Collaborate with project managers on production efforts to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Conduct research to produce design specifications and parameters for products and applications.
• Utilize CAD software to draft and revise technical drawings and specs.
• Estimate material, labor, and construction costs for budgets.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical control systems.
• Maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, systems and components.
• Inspect installations and operations for conformance to standards and safety.
• Study drawings, specifications, and maps to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
