Job summary

Electrified Thermal Solutions seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team and scale up the Joule Hive thermal battery. You will lead field activities related to electrical installation and commissioning.

You will report to the Lead Electrical Engineer and travel up to 50% to support on-site projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering and 1–3 years of experience with circuit analysis, power systems, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
1–3 years of professional engineering experience (co-op acceptable).
Strong fundamentals in circuit analysis, three-phase power systems, electrical machines, power distribution, and control systems.
Experience with MV electrical system design is a plus.
Proficiency in CAD, Python, and MS Office.
Willingness to work hands-on in lab/industrial environments.
Experience with renewable energy or thermal energy storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of electrical power and control systems for the Joule Hive thermal battery.
Develop and maintain electrical circuit models of the system.
Develop CAD framework and models representing system architecture, components, and subsystems.
Coordinate across subsystems and teams to integrate components within the thermal battery system.
Maintain project documentation including specs, CAD models, simulations, and test reports.
Provide progress updates and technical reports to stakeholders.
