Job summary

Electrified Thermal Solutions seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team and scale up the Joule Hive thermal battery. You will lead field activities related to electrical installation and commissioning.

You will report to the Lead Electrical Engineer and travel up to 50% to support on-site projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering and 1–3 years of experience with circuit analysis, power systems, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 1–3 years of professional engineering experience (co-op acceptable).
• Strong fundamentals in circuit analysis, three-phase power systems, electrical machines, power distribution, and control systems.
• Experience with MV electrical system design is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD, Python, and MS Office.
• Willingness to work hands-on in lab/industrial environments.
• Experience with renewable energy or thermal energy storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical power and control systems for the Joule Hive thermal battery.
• Develop and maintain electrical circuit models of the system.
• Develop CAD framework and models representing system architecture, components, and subsystems.
• Coordinate across subsystems and teams to integrate components within the thermal battery system.
• Maintain project documentation including specs, CAD models, simulations, and test reports.
• Provide progress updates and technical reports to stakeholders.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will join our engineering team and play a pivotal role in scaling up our Joule Hive™ Thermal Battery. This job offers a unique opportunity to work on a cutting‑edge project that will shape the future of renewable energy technology. You will lead field activities related to electrical system installation and commissioning. You will report to the Lead Electrical Engineer.

Travel:50% (to support on‑site installation and commissioning for projects)

What You'll Do

• Assistin the design of electricalpower and control systems of the Joule Hive thermal battery.
• Developandmaintainelectrical circuit models ofthe thermal battery electricalsystem.
• Development of a comprehensive Computer-Aided Design (CAD) framework for thecommercialsystem, including development of modelsthat encapsulate the system's architecture, components, and subsystems.
• Ensure seamless coordination among various components and subsystems through the CAD frameworkand collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate andoptimizevarious subsystems, components, and processes within thethermal batterysystem.
• Maintain detailed documentation throughout theprojectsuchdesign specifications, CAD models, simulation results, and test reports.
• Provide progress updates and technical reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
• Support functional testingof electrical equipment, instrumentation, PLC I/O, and control systems.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting during and after project installation,commissioningand integration.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’sor Master’sdegree in electrical engineering.
• 1-3 years of professional engineering experience (co-op experience will be considered).
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentalsincluding:
