Job summary

Lorven Technologies Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Hardware Sustaining & Test Engineering for a long-term onsite role in New York, NY. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in hardware sustaining, hands-on component engineering, and experience with PCB/schematic tools, IPC standards, and ECO processes.

You will drive BoM scrubs, Change Impact Analyses, ECO packaging, 8D investigations, and work with firmware, quality, and manufacturing to permanently resolve field and production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in hardware sustaining, product, or test engineering.
• Hands-on component engineering in consumer electronics or wearables.
• Experience with IPC standards and component lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Perform BoM scrubs and identify at-risk or EOL parts.
• Conduct Change Impact Analysis (CIA) on component changes.
• Author ECO packages with updated schematics, PCB layouts, CAD models, and validation plans.
• Coordinate with firmware/software to validate releases against hardware configurations.
• Conduct 8D Failure Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and design teams to resolve field and production issues.
