Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, embedded firmware development, bring up and validation. This role is a full-stack engineer with a focus on shipping products, not a specialist in any one area.

You will own subsystems and back up design decisions with data from simulations and experiments, collaborating across mechanical and software domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing and debugging electronics for products.
• Electrical engineer generalist with comfort in analog and digital design, PCB layout, validation, and debugging.
• Experience with integration of electronics with mechanical and software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, embedded firmware development, bring up and validation.
• Own projects, not skills — full-stack engineer with a focus on shipping products.
• Design subsystems such as sensors, actuators, and optoelectronics with tradeoffs between electrical and mechanical requirements.
• Back up design decisions with data from simulations and experiments.
• Grow within Formlabs as a technical expert, system architect, or team leader.
