Job summary

ATSC IES INC in Gilbert, AZ seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and integrate Counter-UAS architectures, focusing on power distribution, signal routing, and sensor integration for high-reliability defense systems.

Requires a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience with schematic capture and PCB tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad). You’ll collaborate with RF, software and mechanical teams and support testing, qualification, and deployment in fielded environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design and system integration.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and mitigation techniques.
• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and architectures for C-UAS platforms.
• Support integration of radar, RF detection, EO/IR sensors, and countermeasure technologies.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, harness designs, and electrical documentation.
• Perform electrical analysis, including power budgets, noise/interference mitigation, and signal integrity assessments.
• Collaborate with RF, software, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Support PCB design and review processes, including layout guidance for EMI/EMC performance.
• Develop and execute test plans for electrical subsystems, including bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, DO-160.
• Interface with vendors and manufacturers for component selection, procurement, and production support.
• Support field testing, debugging, and system deployment activities.
