Pratt & Whitney in Andover, MA is seeking an experienced Facilities Electrical Engineer to design and estimate electrical systems, prepare diagrams and bid documents, and manage construction administration while coordinating with internal and external teams.

The role requires 8+ years in facilities electrical design, 5+ years in construction project management, SKM analysis, and proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT. This onsite role may support RTX sites; a strong benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Project estimating, project scheduling, design of building electrical systems.
• Preparation of diagrams, sketches, construction drawings, cost estimates, bid documents and construction administration.
• Meeting with internal customers, developing continuous improvement projects, coordination studies and project management.
• Interface and coordinate projects with internal and external resources such as information technology, safety, security, internal construction trade workers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The position will be based out of Andover Massachusetts, as well as supporting RTX sites in Tewksbury, Woburn, and Pelham NH if needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in facilities electrical engineer design and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience in building electrical engineering to include areas such as the following: High, Medium and Low Voltage Primary and Secondary Power Multi-Frequency Power Grounding Solutions Load Sizing Control Systems and interlock systems Coordination Studies Lighting and Controls Lightning Protection.
• 5+ years’ experience with construction project management including customer scoping meetings, budget monitoring, establishing and updating schedules, contractor coordination, commissioning, and close-out.
• Experience and working knowledge of SKM short circuit & arc fault analysis and feeder & transformer sizing.
• Proficiency with AutoCad, REVIT, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project Scheduler.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience to interface and present to leadership, internal customers, information technology, security, construction trade workers and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with building electrical systems and general understanding of building construction and civil works to include Coordinating Electrical designs with other building design disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, IT, and security.
• Experience in Facilities Engineering, Design and Construction Project Management
• Experience with manufacturing facilities.
• Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control systems such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric
