Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to prepare simple plans, designs, and calculations in line with standard engineering practices. You will collaborate with mentors, perform electrical tasks for assigned projects, and conduct field work at project sites.

The role requires a degree in electrical or architectural engineering, and FE exam preference is noted. Travel to sites is expected, with a strong emphasis on client interaction and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred.
• Ability to work in Revit/Microsoft Office/Visual Lighting Software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work >40 hours/week and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations following standard engineering practices and procedures.
• Seeks code references and design direction from mentors.
• Performs electrical engineering tasks for assigned projects.
• Field work to document existing conditions.
• Meetings with clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
