Consulting Engineering Services (CES) in Concord, NH is seeking a full-time, entry-level Electrical Engineer to design and lay out power, lighting, communications, fire alarm and special systems for projects across the United States.

The successful candidate will work with AutoCAD and Revit, participate in code research, and coordinate between engineering disciplines and architectural details while growing technical skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering preferred with 0 to 3 years of experience.
• Must be able to use AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and design to complete a project.
• Strong oral and writing skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Designs portions of a project using engineering formulas and skills for safety and technical accuracy.
• Reviews design for code compliance and conducts code research as required.
• Selects equipment from catalogs for specific applications.
• Performs on-site investigations and surveys prior to design.
• Writes electrical specifications through completion.
• Coordinates documents between engineering and architectural details.
• Participates in owner/architect coordination meetings.
• Provides technical support to contractors during construction.
• Directs designers on producing complete drawings.
• Performs drafting/design using AutoCAD and/or Revit and checks own work for accuracy.

We currently have an opening in our Concord, NH office for a full-time entry level Electrical Engineer.

This individual will be responsible for the design and layout of power, lighting, communications and fire alarm and special systems.

Essential Functions

• Designs portions of a project using engineering formulas and skills for ensuring safety and technical accuracy.
• Reviews design project for code compliance and performs code research as required to comply with applicable State, Local and Federal codes.
• Identifies and selects equipment from appropriate manufacturing catalogs for specific applications.
• Ability to perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design.
• Writes electrical specifications through completion.
• Coordinates the contract documents between engineering disciplines and architectural details.
• Participates in coordination meetings with owner/architect.
• Provides technical support to contractors throughout construction.
• Instructs designers on how to produce designs into complete drawings.
• Performs his or her own drafting/design using AutoCAD and/or Revit and reviews own work for accuracy.
