Responsibilities

• Designs portions of a project for safety and accuracy.

• Coordinates contract documents across disciplines.
• Participates in coordination meetings.
• Provides contractor technical support.
• Instructs designers on producing drawings.
• Drafts/designs using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

We currently have an opening in our Louisville, CO office for a full-time entry level Electrical Engineer.

This individual will be responsible for the design and layout of power, lighting, communications and fire alarm and special systems.

Essential Functions

• Designs portions of a project using engineering formulas and skills for ensuring safety and technical accuracy.
• Reviews design project for code compliance and performs code research as required to comply with applicable State, Local and Federal codes.
• Identifies and selects equipment from appropriate manufacturing catalogs for specific applications.
• Ability to perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design.
• Writes electrical specifications through completion.
• Coordinates the contract documents between engineering disciplines and architectural details.
• Participates in coordination meetings with owner/architect.
• Provides technical support to contractors throughout construction.
• Instructs designers on how to produce designs into complete drawings.
• Performs his or her own drafting/design using AutoCAD and/or Revit and reviews own work for accuracy.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering preferred with 0 to 1 years of job related experience.
• Must be able to use AutoCAD and Revit, for drafting and design to complete a project.
• Strong oral and writing skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
