Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, energy storage, EV charging, power electronics, or industrial applications.
  • Minimum 1 year Experience creating and interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control architectures.
  • Minimum 1 year Experience troubleshooting electrical and controls systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of BESS, EV charging, and electrification systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, drawings, specifications, and system documentation.

  • Provide technical support for customer, field, manufacturing, and laboratory issues.

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer - Energy Storage & EV Infrastructure. The position will be based at our facility in Moon Township, PA. The position is eligible for a hybrid set up (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You'll Do

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development, validation, integration, and deployment of advanced energy storage and EV infrastructure solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that enable grid modernization, renewable integration, electric vehicle adoption, and energy resilience while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, product management, manufacturing, and field services.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, energy storage, EV charging, power electronics, or industrial applications.
  • Minimum 1 year Experience creating and interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control architectures.
  • Minimum 1 year Experience troubleshooting electrical and controls systems.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 of experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy systems, EV charging infrastructure, microgrids, utility power systems, or power electronics.
  • Working knowledge of standards including UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1973, UL 1741, IEEE 1547, and NFPA 70E.
  • Experience designing to the National Electrical Code (NEC) is preferred.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, CAN Bus, and EtherNet/IP.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, power analyzers, CAN analyzers, and insulation resistance testers (Megger equipment).

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to mentor team members and support domestic and international travel up to 15%.
