Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Peachtree City, GA or Moon Township, PA. The role focuses on designing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting energy storage systems, EV charging, and electrification technologies.

Responsibilities include developing schematics, wiring diagrams, standards documentation, validating batteries and power conversion systems, and supporting prototypes, reviews, and field commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (December 2026 grads are eligible to apply!)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant engineering experience, including internship, co-op, research, or hands-on project experience.
• No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT support; no relocation beyond 50 miles of Moon Township PA or Peachtree City GA.

• Collaborate with electrical, firmware/software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, product validation, certification, and field commissioning activities.
• Develop test procedures, engineering reports, and work instructions.
• Contribute to product safety, reliability, quality, and performance improvements.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you'll do:

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (December 2026 grads are eligible to apply!)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant engineering experience, which may include internship, co-op, research, or significant hands-on project experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework or hands-on experience in power electronics, such as converters, inverters, DC/DC converters, motor drives, or power supplies.
• Exposure to battery energy storage, EV charging, renewable energy, or power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with batteries, BMS, power conversion systems, or energy management/control systems.
• Familiarity with CAN, Modbus, or other industrial communication protocols.
• Firmware/programming experience using C/C++, Python, embedded systems, or microcontrollers is a plus.
• Mechanical or electromechanical design aptitude is a plus.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, data acquisition systems, or CAN tools is preferred.

Skills:

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical circuits, power electronics, power systems, or controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using basic electrical laboratory equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to electrical safety and safe work practices.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and interest in power electronics and electrification.
• Hands-on technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Ability to support domestic and international travel up to 10%.
