Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, analyze, test, and troubleshoot advanced electrical systems for naval propulsion programs. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integration of activities and deliver design documents, procedures, and reports.

Candidates should have a technical degree and relevant experience, with preferred experience in power electronics, data acquisition, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

• Perform the design, analysis, and subsequent testing in the field of electrical engineering, including, but not limited to, power electronics, data acquisition, controls, electric machines, power systems, etc.
• Perform trouble shooting of electro-mechanical equipment involving PLCs.
• Team with other engineers to ensure integration of activities and plans

Job Description

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, bringing fresh ideas, and helping the Laboratory adapt and grow.

In this role you will:

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Pay Range

$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
