Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to own critical subsystems of the aircraft and ground systems for DoorDash Air. You will design high reliability, high power density converters and fault-tolerant controls electronics, from a blank sheet to field deployment.

You will collaborate with firmware, systems, mechanical, and reliability teams, prototype in lab, debug complex systems, and contribute to scalable drone delivery technologies that impact Dashers, merchants, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing electronics circuits in highly cross-functional work environments.
• Lab-based prototyping to identify sensors/actuators and their controls.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design for aircraft and ground systems, collaborating with firmware, systems, mechanical, supply chain, manufacturing and reliability teams.
• Design mechatronics systems from a blank sheet and iterate in lab to identify best sensors and actuators.
• Debug complex systems addressing signal integrity, EMI, hardware design errors or firmware bugs.
