Job summary

TRISTAR is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support NSWC Crane in Indiana. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of complex electrical systems from concept through sustainment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet mission requirements.

The role emphasizes strong written and oral communication, teamwork, and problem solving in a defense environment. US citizenship and active secret clearance are required for site access.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university required.
• Ability to manage project schedules and integrations within site processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate across levels from leadership to installation teams.
• Experience tracking deliverables, milestones, and schedules for systems or software delivery.
• Experience with requirements, generation, traceability, review and tracking.
• Experience with program management, Readiness reviews, and Governance boards.
• Experience conducting technical exchange meetings.
• Experience working in team environments.
• Demonstrated experience with requirements tracking and program documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ensure quality products and services are delivered to the customer.
• Define electrical system implementation approach and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
• Provide technical inputs related to system architecture implementation by other staff.
• Support electrical system analyses across lifecycle stages: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Attend project meetings as assigned.
• Coordinate projects and document control, generate and review technical documentation.
• Monitor project team and vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and technical rigor.
