Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer for Digital Infrastructure in a hybrid work environment after the first 90 days. The role focuses on technical leadership, power and grid strategy, and delivering detailed analyses for data-center related infrastructure projects.

You will work with Diode Ventures, LLC. and broader Black & Veatch teams on interconnection studies, utilities engagement, and technical guidance for projects of varying complexity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to Director of Power & Grid Strategy.
• Performs generation and transmission capacity analyses to support infrastructure siting strategy.
• Prepares large load interconnection applications for submission to utilities.
• Maintains engagement with utilities to obtain project status updates and drive progress toward an executable energy supply agreement.
• Analyzes, summarizes, and communicate utility requirements, study results, agreements, and regulations to project team and leadership.
• Supports project team as a technical expert.
