Job summary
Black & Veatch in Houston seeks an Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical specialist or lead on power‑system projects. You will apply advanced engineering techniques with minimal supervision, guide junior staff, and help develop concepts for medium complexity projects. A 5+ year background and PE eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to Director of Power & Grid Strategy.
- Performs generation and transmission capacity analyses to support infrastructure siting strategy.
- Prepares large load interconnection applications for submission to utilities.
- Maintains engagement with utilities to obtain project status updates and drive progress toward an executable energy supply agreement.
- Analyses, summarizes, and communicates utility requirements, study results, agreements, and regulations to project team and leadership.
- Supports project team as a technical expert.
