Transmission & Distribution World in Fort Carson, CO seeks an Electrical Engineer for a Direct Hire Authority role within the Directorate of Public Works Engineering Division. The incumbent will apply multi-disciplined engineering knowledge to design and construction, advise on problem resolution, and provide necessary guidance to project teams.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited) and specialized experience in planning/design and cost estimation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
Professional registration (EI/EIT/PE) or FE exam completion is required or could be substituted by certain credentials.
Specialized experience includes planning and designing engineering projects and estimating costs.

Responsibilities

Applies multi-disciplined engineering knowledge focused on design and construction proficiency.
Advises project team members on resolution of problems during design and construction phases.
Obtains project support and expertise to ensure smooth project management and provides guidance to multi-discipline teams.
Reviews work products for conformance with practices, policies and sound conclusions.
Ensures compliance with internal controls so resources are managed efficiently.
Serves as technical advisor for A-E contractors in material selection, construction methods, and project reviews.
