Job summary

Stark Engineering, DPC, based in New York, seeks an experienced Electrical (design, architectural) Engineer to lead design efforts for retail, workplace, hospitality, and restaurant projects. The ideal candidate will design and prepare high-quality engineering documents, perform NEC-based load calculations, and collaborate with architects and owners on a hybrid NYC schedule.

Located in or around NYC, the candidate should be able to commute to the office on a hybrid schedule (2+ days) and to job

Qualifications

• Experience as an electrical (architectural) designer/engineer at an engineering consultancy.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering and familiarity with MEP design and NEC, IECC, and Ashrae 90.1.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement electrical design documentation.
• Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Located in or around NYC with the ability to commute into the office on a hybrid schedule (2+ days) and job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead electrical engineer on assigned projects.
• Draft technical documentation utilizing both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing based on the NEC.
• Perform full MEPF site surveys and reports.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFI’s.

Salary Range:

$80,000-$105,000/annum, Interviewing for 3 to 5+ years of experience.

Salary negotiable based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Qualifications – Requirements:

• Applicable experience as an electrical (architectural) designer/engineer at engineering consultancy(ies).
• A Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Existing knowledge of electrical engineering and familiarity with MEP design and relevant codes such as NEC, IECC, and Ashrae 90.1.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement electrical design documentation.
• Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Located in or around NYC with the ability to commute into the office on a hybrid schedule (2+ days) and job sites as needed.

Qualifications – Nice to Have:

• EIT certification or PE license, or on track to obtain licensure.
• Experience in direct communication with project stakeholders including architects, owners, and other project consultants.
• Ambitions for career advancement including leadership for the electrical engineering discipline.
• Existing knowledge of fire alarm design.

Duties and Responsibilities:
