First-time federal hires start at the step 1 rate, with eligibility for registration as an EI/EIT or PE. Applicants must meet basic engineering education requirements and time-in-grade rules, with specialized experience in designing electrical systems for water storage, conveyance

Qualificações

• Basic Requirement: Degree in Engineering with ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Possession of professional registration or Engineer-in-Training/FE or licensure qualifies.
• Time-in-Grade and qualification requirements apply for GS-11.

Responsabilidades

• Develop preliminary and final designs and specifications for electrical systems in water storage and conveyance facilities.
• Prepare cost estimates for rehabilitation of electrical equipment and power transmission systems.
• Apply electrical engineering principles to dams, pumping plants, and related infrastructure.
