Job summary

MultiCam, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and improve electrical systems for our American-made CNC cutting technology.

You will collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and service teams to turn concepts into reliable, high-performance equipment for diverse industries. Ideal candidates have a hands-on mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with PLCs, motion controls, and electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with electrical design, industrial automation, machinery, or a related technical environment.
• Experience creating and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical design software and engineering documentation systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motion controls, servo systems, industrial communication networks, or CNC equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of projects.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
• A practical, hands-on mindset with an interest in developing reliable products from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and controls for CNC cutting equipment.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and related engineering documentation.
• Select and integrate electrical components, including motors, drives, sensors, controllers, and safety devices.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production implementation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control-system issues and identify effective solutions.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Service teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
• Contribute to product enhancements, engineering changes, standardization, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Help ensure designs meet applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
