Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. in Butler, IN is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance professional to oversee capital projects, perform maintenance, coordinate downturn activities, and maintain documentation.

This role also involves helping develop a team of electrical personnel and ensuring safety compliance on all jobs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, power distribution, and the ability to read electrical prints.

Qualifications

• Support safety initiatives, policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement solutions for issues related to safety, quality and production.
• High level of safety awareness (LOTOTO, ELC's, etc.) and NFPA 70E knowledge
• Ability to work with team of operations/maintenance personnel, fellow engineers, and contractors.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving (Root Cause Analysis) skills
• Previous electrical maintenance, familiar with motor controls, variable frequency drives, power distribution and able to read electrical prints.
• Experience managing projects involving electrical installations and/or upgrades.
• BSEE or BSEET
