Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the United States (Arlington, VA area) to lead electrical design on large institutional/industrial projects. The role requires PE licensure, Revit proficiency, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

You will review documents for conflicts, participate in agency reviews, and ensure design integrity from schematic design through construction documents while supporting HDR's culture of inclusion and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board for the position location is required.
• Strong computer skills with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical design work on large institutional/industrial projects through schematic design to contract documents.
• Establish meetings and participate in code reviews for compliance.
• Coordinate workload and ensure documents progress on schedule.
• Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment and systems.
• Provide QA/QC on electrical engineering work and assist with construction administration.
