Qualifications

• Bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of building design experience for power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) required; PE license preferred.
• Knowledge of LEED principles and Electrical Codes.
• Travel to job sites and client offices required.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, control, and IT/data systems for buildings.
• Lead and mentor other electrical engineering staff.
• Load calculations, life cycle costing and energy modeling.
• Review installation for compliance with construction documents.
• Prepare construction cost estimates, broad and detailed scope.
• Assist in developing feasibility studies
• Assist in the development of contract specifications and research the application of new procedures and/or products.
• Meet, communicate, and coordinate with clients to develop scopes, prepare proposals, and oversee the installation of the work, and manage internal and external project budgets.
• Perform duties on concurrent projects of various project types, scales, and complexity within the established schedules.
