Jobot in Sidney, Nebraska seeks an Electrical Engineer with building systems design experience to join our growing team. You will design power, lighting, fire alarm, and data systems for diverse nationwide projects and collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (electrical focus), 6+ years in design, EIT (PE preferred), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with an electrical focus).
• At least 6 years of relevant design experience within a consulting or A/E firm.
• EIT license and knowledge of building electrical systems and codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
• Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, and develop construction documentation.
• Create and edit technical specifications for building electrical systems.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design intent.
• Work closely with clients and project teams to establish design criteria and project goals.
• Ensure that technical deliverables meet project standards, codes, and client expectations.
